Last 9/11 Search Dog Turns 16

The last surviving 9/11 search dog just recently turned 16 years old, a grand old number for a dog

She is the last of the original 100 who risked their lives searching for survivors in the aftermath. She has helped countless people and saved many souls, and gets a well-deserved celebration. Before a literal walk in the park, she is treated to some delicious gourmet burgers.

She also gets a barrage – to put it mildly – of presents all sent to her. Toys and stuffed animals galore. This awesome story went viral on social media, and rightfully so. Bretagne, as she is called, is a national hero and true patriot. We should treasure all the brave people (and dog) who aided in the 9/11 rescues while we can.
